SSCL 3 D Printer Demo @ The CCLD Maker Fair This Saturday, May 30
Come and see the SSCL’s 3 D printer demo at the Chemung County Library District Maker Faire this Saturday, May 30 @ The Steele Memorial Library in Elmira.
Library staff will be there from 11-3 and, in addition to showing off 3 D Printing technology, we’ll be offering information on the new SSCL Makerspace which will be opening July 2.

Our next Computer & Personal Technology Learning Club, usually shortened to just “Computer Club,” is meeting tomorrow from 3 – 6 p.m.
Patrons are encouraged to drop in anytime between 3 and 6 p.m.

Computer Club: The Computer Club offers patrons the opportunity to bring in their own computers and ask questions or offer suggestions and comments about anything they like within the world of computing to other patrons including the best software, hardware, websites and other computing usage tips!
Computer newbies are encouraged to drop into any session with their questions large and small! If you have question about how to use a computer, software or the Internet feel free to drop by any Computer Club session; you can bring your own equipment or use ours.
And just to reiterate the Computer Club is a drop in club available to everyone! We’ll have a handful of PCs, tablets and Macs set up for patrons to use or you can bring your own equipment.
The Computer Club will be held the first and third Thursday of each month.

Corning Area Writer’s Group: Inject some socialization into your solo writing time by join the library’s Adult Creative Writers Group for conversation, inspiration and feedback on writing projects.
This group meets every Thursday from 6-8 pm.
